Complying with the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA)

On July 18, 2016, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) went into effect and states that all health service providers participating in the U.S. Medicaid and Medicare programs are required by law to provide translations for the top 15 non-English languages spoken in their state. The law stipulates they must:

Provide free language services to people whose primary language is not English, including qualified interpreters and information written in other languages.

While having a full-time translator and interpreter on staff is not feasible for most providers, it is important to have access to qualified and dependable language service providers like Syntes. Some services we provide include:

Translation of:

  • Patient Forms

  • Medical History

  • Records

  • Privacy Policy
